In 2023, we became the first pet food brand in Canada to meet the standards of AAFCO for Human Grade: this means not only human grade ingredients, but also being made in a government-inspected human food production facility. When we started in 2015, we operated Canada's first open pet meals kitchen that was housed within our retail storefront, where customers could watch our preparation process behind glass walls. However, when AAFCO changed their dedintion to require human grade food for dogs and cats to be made in a government-inspected human food production facility, we partnered with a highly qualified human food facility and embedded our culinary-trained chef into their kitchen to ensure we upheld the same transparency and quality standards that is our Tom&Sawyer Promise to you and your pets.

Restaurant-Quality Ingredients We Source
We use ingredients you'd find in your kitchen - chicken breast, fresh vegetables, and other whole food components. Our recipes are actually at least 97% whole food ingredients and we add human grades supplements to ensure that the food is complete & balanced throughout the cooking and freezing stages (where many vitamins & minerals found naturally in whole foods are unable to withstand these temperatures needed for food safety).

Shelf-stable pet food requires extreme heat processing that destroys a high amount of food-derived nutrients and preservatives. Fresh refrigerated food has a limited shelf life. Frozen delivery gives you maximum nutrition preserved naturally with convenient storage.
Thaw meals in your refrigerator overnight or quickly in warm water. Store thawed portions in the fridge for about 4 days. Keep the rest frozen until needed.
